- Project Impact. Although the construction of this project was at a virtual standstill, until an aesthetic design solution was approved by all the stakeholders, In the end, a successful collaboration between the Cherokee Indian Nation, Oklahoma Department of Transportation and the City of Catoosa was brought to fruition by CDR’s community outreach program, that helped to inform the final design solution created by CDR and approved by all.
- Features & Design Context. The custom form-liner designs for this bridge affect the parapet, embankments, and piers. All the imagery incorporated into the bridge draws inspiration from Art Deco and Cherokee iconography.
- Techniques & Requirements.
- On the MSE walls leading up to the bridge, Creative Form Liners fabricated a custom block weave pattern and form liners that form a basket as commuters drive along the highway.
